Edwards, part of the Atlas Copco Group, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility for vacuum pumps used in the global manufacture of semiconductors. The factory is situated in Asan City, in Chungcheongnam-do province, South Korea.
In keeping with the current drive to expand its rough vacuum pump range in the UK, Atlas Copco Compressors has announced the appointment of two new regional sales managers within its Vacuum Solutions division, Steve Callaghan (North) and Mark Handler (South).
Atlas Copco formally inaugurates a manufacturing facility for Edwards vacuum and abatement solutions in Qingdao, China. Edwards, the vacuum solutions business that became part of the Atlas Copco Group in 2014, uses the Qingdao facility as its global base for the manufacture of rotary-vane and liquid-ring vacuum pumps. Vacuum is used in a wide variety of industrial applications and manufacturing processes to create clean, particle-free environments.

Atlas Copco Compressor Technique has today established a new division: Vacuum Solutions.
